भारत और अमरीका के रक्षा और विदेश मंत्रियों के बीच आज होने वाली टू-प्लस-टू वार्ता को सभी समाचार पत्रों ने प्रमुखता दी है। जनसत्ता ने लिखा है- सैन्य सहयोग बढ़ाने पर बात करेंगे भारत और अमरीका। दैनिक जागरण ने दोनों देशों बीच बेसिक एक्सचेंज एंड कॉपरेशन एग्रीमेंट ऑन जीओस्पैशियल कॉपरेशन-बीका समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर होने की खबर देते हुए लिखा है, इससे भारत को अमरीका के अत्याधुनिक नौवहन और वायुसेना से जुड़े जरूरी साजो-सामान की आपूर्ति होगी आसान।

भारत की ओर से इस वार्ता में विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर और रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह सम्मिलित हो रहे हैं। वार्ता में हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र में चीन की बढ़ती हिमाकत समेत द्विपक्षीय, क्षेत्रीय और वैश्विक मुद्दों पर बातचीत होगी। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पोम्पियो और एस्पर को आज दोपहर को रायसीना हिल्स स्थित साउथ ब्लॉक के लॉन में "गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर" दिया जाएगा। दोनों अमेरिकी मंत्री जयशंकर और राजनाथ के साथ द्विपक्षीय वार्ता करेंगे। साथ ही दोनों अमेरिकी मंत्री प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से भी मुलाकात करेंगे।
वहीं, अमेरिकी विदेश विभाग ने बताया कि विदेश मंत्री माइक पोम्पियो और रक्षा मंत्री, मार्क टी एस्पर भारत के लिए रवाना हो चुके हैं। अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ भी बैठक करेंगे और अमेरिका-भारत व्यापक वैश्विक रणनीतिक साझेदारी को आगे बढ़ाने के तरीकों पर व्यापारिक नेताओं के साथ चर्चा करेंगे।
