भगवान जगन्नाथ की विश्व प्रसिद्ध रथयात्रा आज ओडिसा के पुरी में शुरू हो रही है। सुचारू रथयात्रा के लिए कड़े सुरक्षा व्यवस्था किए गए हैं। यह दूसरा अवसर है, जब कोरोना महामारी के कारण रथयात्रा का आयोजन आम श्रद्धालुओं के सम्मिलित हुए बिना हो रहा है।
रथयात्रा के लिए सारी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई हैं और अब दोपहर गजपति महाराज दिब्यसिंह देब के द्वारा "छेरा पहनरा" रस्म के साथ प्रभु श्री जगन्नाथ, उनके बड़े भाई श्री बालभद्र और बहन देवी सुभद्रा अपने-अपने रथ में विराजमान होंगे और फिर सेवारतों के द्वारा रथ खींचे जायेंगे। सामान्य रूप से हजारों भक्तों के द्वारा रथ खींचे जाते हैं, परन्तु इसबार कोविड महामारी के कारण यह कार्य सेवारतों के द्वारा किया जा रहा है। पुरी रथयात्रा में प्रत्यक्ष रूप में सम्मिलित हो रहे लगभग 8,000 लोगों का कोविड परीक्षण कर लिया गया है। लोग स्वास्थ्य की दृष्टि से पूरी में कर्फ्यू लगाया गया है, ताकि किसी भी प्रकार की भीड़ इकट्ठा न हो पाये। हालांकि देवाताओं के लाखों भक्त छोटे पर्दे पर उनके दर्शन का सौभाग्य प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
रथयात्रा की शुभकामनाएं-
राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमंत्री और गृहमंत्री आदि ने रथयात्रा पर लोगों को शुभकामनाएं दी हैं। राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने भगवान जगन्नाथ रथयात्रा के अवसर पर लोगों, विशेषकर ओडि़सा के श्रद्धालुओं को बधाई दी है। उन्होंने भगवान जनन्नाथ की अनुकम्पा से सबके लिए सुख, समृद्धि और स्वास्थ्य की कामना की।
उप-राष्ट्रपति एम वेंकैया नायडू ने रथयात्रा के अवसर पर लोगों को बधाई दी है। अपने संदेश में उन्होंने कहा कि पुरी में होने वाली भगवान जगन्नाथ की रथयात्रा ओडिसा समेत पूरे भारत के श्रद्धालुओं के लिए अत्यंत पावन और बहुप्रतीक्षित उत्सव है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह उत्सव देश की विविधता और समावेशी संस्कृति का प्रतीक है। भारत समेत विश्वभर में कोरोना की अप्रत्याशित परिस्थिति को देखते हुए उप-राष्ट्रपति ने लोगों से रथयात्रा का उत्सव मनाने में अत्यंत सावधानी बरतने और कोरोना से बचाव के नियमों का पालन करने की अपील की।

अहमदाबाद में वार्षिक रथयात्रा-

About 8000 people that include the servitors, security and media personnel and district administration officials have already undergone rt-pcr test in order to partake of this mega festival. As an anti- congregation measure, which also is in sync with anti-covid measure, has been clamped in the holy city of Puri. Even as the annual rathyatra is being held under the shadow of the pandemic, devotees can however have their soulful darshan of Lord Sri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra as their grand chariots, named as Nandighosa, Taladhwaja and Darpadalana, roll down majestically along the Grand Road from Sri Jagannath temple to Shri Gundicha Temple.

Bhagwan Jagannath Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad-
The 144th annual Rath Yatra of Bhagwan Jagannath in Ahmedabad city is in progress amid a curfew on its route in view of the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of a massive crowd during the traditional Rath Yatra, this time people have been barred from taking part in it due to Covid19. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had performed Mangala Arti early this morning. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel had performed “Pahind” rituals before the start of today’s Rath Yatra from Lord Jagannath temple in Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad.
"Gujarat government and temple authorities have made all the arrangements for the rath yatra without any public participation. Thus, the 11 decorated elephants, hundreds trucks and Bhajan Mandalis are not part of this Rath Yatra. Three chariots and two other vehicles of temple trust have been allowed in today’s Rath Yatra. Tight security arrangements have been made, so that the yatra passes off peacefully with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. To stop the people from gathering along the route, a curfew has been imposed on the entire 19 kilometer Rath Yatra route. गुजरात सरकार और मंदिर के प्रशासकों ने आज की रथयात्रा लोगों को सम्मिलित किए बिना पूरी हो सके, इसके लिए व्यापक प्रबंध किये। इस बार रथयात्रा में रंगों से शुशोभित 11 हाथी, सैंकड़ों ट्रकें और भजन मण्डलीयाँ सम्मिलित नहीं हुईं। रथ यात्रा के लिए भगवान के तीन रथों के अतिरिक्त मंदिर के महंत और ट्रस्टी के लिए दो अन्य वाहनों की अनुमति दी गई। कोविड नियमों के कड़ाई से पालन के साथ रथ यात्रा शांति पूर्ण तरीके से संपन्न हो, इसलिए सुरक्षा के कड़े प्रबंध किये गए। रथयात्रा के मार्ग पर भगवान के दर्शन के लिए लोगो की भीड़ को एकत्र होने से रोकने रथयात्रा के 19 किलोमीटर के मार्ग पर कर्फ्यू लगा दिया गया है। समान्य रूप से 12 घंटे में पूरी होने वाली रथ यात्रा को इस बार पांच घंटो में पूरी करने के लिए कहा गया है।
