अमरीका की चार दिन की यात्रा पर आज सुबह प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी वाशिंगटन डीसी पहुंचे। भारी वर्षा के पश्चात भारतीय समुदाय के सैकड़ों लोग प्रधानमंत्री की अगवानी करने हवाई अड्डे पर उपस्थित थे। जैसे ही प्रधानमंत्री का विमान वाशिंगटन पहुंचा उत्साहित भारतवंशियों ने हर्षोल्लास में नारे लगाने शुरू कर दिये। प्रधानमंत्री ने भारतीय समुदाय के प्रति अपना आभार व्यक्त किया है। एक ट्वीट संदेश में प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारतीय प्रवासी समुदाय हमारी ताकत है।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी, अमरीका के राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन के निमंत्रण पर पहली बार व्यक्तिगत रूप से क्वाड नेताओं के शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री न्यूयॉर्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के 76वें सत्र को भी संबोधित करेंगे।
अमरीका यात्रा के पहले दिन आज प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का कार्यक्रम बहुत व्यस्त रहेगा। वे आज अमरीका की उपराष्ट्रपति कमला हैरिस और विश्व की प्रमुख कंपनियों के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारियों के साथ बातचीत करेंगे। उनका ऑस्ट्रेलिया और जापान के प्रधानमंत्रियों से भी अलग से मुलाकात करने का कार्यक्रम है।
सन् 2014 के बाद से यह प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का अमेरीका का सातवीं यात्रा है। वॉशिंगटन पहुंचने से पहले अपने संदेश में उन्होंने कहा था, कि इसका उद्देश्य भारत और अमेरीका के बीच व्यापक वैश्विक रणनीतिक भागेदारी को मजबूत करना है। साथ ही जापान और ऑस्ट्रेलिया जैसे सामरिक भागीदार देशों के साथ अपने रिश्तों को बल मिलेगा। आज पहली बार प्रधानमंत्री और अमरीकी उपराष्ट्रपति कमला हैरिस के बीच आमने-सामने की सीधी बातचीत भी होगी। दोनों नेता इससे पहले जून में फोन पर कोविड संकट के बारे में बातचीत कर चुके हैं। दोनों नेताओं के बीच विज्ञान और तकनीक के परस्पर सहयोग के विस्तार का मुद्दा अहम रहेगा।
प्रधानमंत्री का शीर्ष उद्योगों के CEOs से बातचीत-
द्धिपक्षीय व्यापार को बढ़ाने और मेक इन इंडिया मेक फॉर द वर्ल्ड की, प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की पहल की दिशा में यह एक अहम कदम है। पांच चोटी के सीईओज़ प्रधानमंत्री से बारी-बारी मिलेंगे। यह मुलाकात अलग-अलग होगी। हर एक सीईओ से 15 मिनट चर्चा होगी, इसके पहले पांच मिनट की उनकी ब्रीफिंग की जाएगी। क्वालकॉम के सीईओ क्रिस्टियानो अमोन की कंपनी सॉफ्टवेयर और वायरलैस टेक्नोलॉजी के क्षेत्र में काम करती रही है।
एडोबे कंपनी के चेयरमैन और भारतीय मूल के शांतनू नारायण प्रधानमंत्री से मिलेंगे। शांतनू नारायण सन् 2007 से एडोबे कंपनी की कमान संभालते रहे हैं। उनके बाद फर्स्ट सोलर के सीईओ मार्क विडमार प्रधानमंत्री से मिलेंगे। सोलर पैनल्स और फोटो वॉल टाइप पावर प्लांट्स बनाने में यह कंपनी अग्रणी है। जनरल एटमिक्स के सीईओ विवेक लाल प्रधानमंत्री से मिलेंगे। यह कंपनी अमेरीका में रक्षा और ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में अग्रणी रही है। प्रधानमंत्री से मिलने वालों में ब्लैकस्टोन के सीईओ स्टीफन ए श्वार्जमैन भी शामिल हैं। ब्लैकस्टोन न्यूयॉर्क की एक जानी-मानी ऑल्टरनेटी इनवेस्टमेंट मैनेजमेंट फर्म है। उम्मीद है इन बैठकों से द्धिपक्षीय व्यापार को बल मिलेगा, जो वर्ष 2019 में 149 बिलियन डॉलर का था।

As the Prime Minister's plane landed in Washington, exuberant members of the Indian diaspora started cheering. He thanked the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome. Prime Minister Modi, is in US at President Biden’s invitation to participate in the first in-person summit of Quad leaders. He will also address the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. During his visit, the Prime Minister will also hold a bilateral meet with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
The scientific community and entrepreneurs in the United States have welcomed the visit of Prime Minister to the US. They expressed hope that it will enhance collaboration and exchange of ideas between the two countries. Talking to All India Radio from San Diego, the Chief Scientific Officer and founder of Triangulum Biopharma, Dr Sanjay Pandey said, it will give a fillip to the spirit of innovation.
