- भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारियों की बैठक आज नई दिल्ली में। भाजपा अध्यक्ष जगत प्रकाश नड्डा ने कार्य समिति की घोषणा के बाद यह बैठक बुलाई है। कार्य समिति में लाल कृष्ण आडवाणी और मुरली मनोहर जोशी जैसे वरिष्ठ भाजपा नेता शामिल हैं। कोविड के दौर में पहली बार पार्टी अध्यक्ष ने कार्य समिति की बैठक बुलाई है।

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rain in Uttarakhand for today (18 Oct.), while an orange alert has been issued for tomorrow (19 Oct.). IMD said, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall activity are likely over Uttarakhand, Western UP and Haryana today as a result of Western Disturbance's interaction with low-level easterlies.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has alerted the police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) following IMD's alert. He has directed that police, SDRF and other concerned personnel should be kept on high alert at sensitive places. Mr Dhami said that special care should be taken on the Char Dham Yatra route. In view of the heavy rainfall warning, all schools in Uttarkashi district will remain closed today.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC has introduced the facility of Free High Speed WiFi service (from 17 Oct.) at all metro stations of its Yellow Line section from HUDA City Centre to Samaypur Badli. More than 330 access points have been installed at these 37 stations to provide uninterrupted internet access to the commuters. This High Speed Free Wi-Fi Service will prove to be a boon to students travelling to and from North Delhi Campus of Delhi University. Free High-Speed Wi-Fi connectivity is already available on all metro stations of the Blue Line and Airport Express Line.
