उत्तराखंड में भारी वर्षा से हुए विनाश का समाचार लगभग सभी समाचार पत्रों में प्रमुखता से प्रकशित हुई है। हिन्दुस्तान के शब्द हैं- उत्तराखंड में भारी वर्षा, 40 मरे। दैनिक जागरण लिखता है- उत्तराखंड में आफत की बारिश, 36 वर्षों का टूटा रिकॉर्ड, मालरोड और बोट हाउस क्लब तक पहली बार पहुंचा पानी। जनसत्ता ने लिखा है- त्तराखंड में लौटता मॉनसून और पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के टकराव से हुई तबाही। राजस्थान पत्रिका के अनुसार- आज सुबह से मौसम साफ होना शुरू हो जाएगा। धूप खिलने से पहाड़ों में भूस्खलन हो सकता है।

अपने विशेष विमान से आज कुशीनगर पहुंचेंगे PM मोदी
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी सुबह दस बजे अपने विशेष विमान से कुशीनगर पहुंचेंगे। यहां सबसे पहले वो कुशीनगर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इसके बाद 11:15 बजे वह महापरिनिर्वाण मंदिर जाएंगे। जहां दिन का दूसरा कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया है। यहां प्रधानमंत्री करीब एक घंटा बिताएंगे। इस अवधि (दौरान) में वह भगवान बुद्ध की मूर्ति पर अर्चन और चीवर चढ़ाएंगे। श्री मोदी यहां बोधि वृक्ष का पौधा भी लगाएंगे। प्रधानमंत्री यहां अभिधम्म दिवस पर आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में भी भाग लेंगे। इस कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न देशों से आए हुए बौद्ध भिक्षु भी शामिल रहेंगे।
तीसरा और अंतिम कार्यक्रम महापरिनिर्वाण मंदिर से कुछ किलोमीटर की दूरी पर दोपहर 1:10 बजे निर्धारित है। यहां प्रधानमंत्री राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज की नींव रखेंगे और कई अन्य विकास परियोजनाओं का लोकार्पण एवं शिलान्यास करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री यहां जनसभा को भी संबोधित करेंगे।
बिहार की तीन-दिवसीय यात्रा पर राष्ट्रपति आज पटना पहुंचेंगे
राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद बिहार की तीन-दिवसीय यात्रा पर आज पटना पहुंचेंगे। वे कल बिहार विधानसभा भवन के शताब्दी समारोह में सम्मिलित होंगे। शताब्दी समारोह में भाग लेने से पहले राष्ट्रपति विधानमंडल परिसर में शताब्दी स्मृति स्तंभ का शिलान्यास करेंगे। इसके अलावा वे परिसर में ही बौद्धगया स्थित पवित्र बोधि-वृक्ष का शिशु पौधा भी लगाएंगे। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष विजय कुमार सिन्हा ने बताया, ऐतिहासिक विधानसभा कई महत्वपूर्ण निर्णयों का साक्षी रहा है। 100 वर्ष की यात्रा में भी विधायिकी काज के साथ-साथ हमारे सामाजिक राजनीतिक कई परिवर्तन हुए हैं। बिहार का संदेश देश और दुनिया में, हमारे जो पूर्वज थे उन लोगों के द्वारा दिया गया उसको अस्मृत करने किसी को बताने के लिए और बिहार के गौरवशाली इतिहास से देश दुनिया को परिचित कराने के लिए यह शताब्दी वर्ष बहुत ही ऐतिहासिक रहेगा। शुक्रवार को दिल्ली लौटने से पहले राष्ट्रपति कोविंद का पटना साहिब में तख्त श्री हरमंदिर साहिबजी, बुद्ध स्मृति पार्क में विपश्यना केन्द्र और पटना में खादी माल जाने का भी कार्यक्रम है।
