"भारतीय मीडिया व मनोरंजन उद्योग दुनिया में पांचवां सबसे बड़ा व सबसे वैश्वीकृत उद्योग"

54 वां भारतीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव में प्रदर्शित होंगी 270 फिल्में

भारतीय मीडिया और मनोरंजन उद्योग, 20% की वार्षिक वृद्धि दर के साथ, दुनिया में पांचवां सबसे बड़ा और सबसे वैश्वीकृत उद्योग माना जाता है। ये बात 54वां भारतीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव का आज (20 नवंबर) उद्घाटन करते हुए केंद्रीय सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर ने कही। महोत्सव श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी इंडोर स्टेडियम, बम्बोलिम (गोवा) में आयोजित किया जा रहा है।

नौ दिन चलने वाले इस महोत्‍सव में 270 फिल्में प्रदर्शित की जाएंगी। ब्रिटिश फिल्म 'कैचिंग डस्ट' से महोत्‍सव शुरू हुआ। मंगलवार (21 नवंबर) से इंडियन पैनोरमा आरंभ होगा। इस खंड में 25 फीचर फिल्में और 20 गैर-फीचर फिल्में दिखाई जाएंगी। इसके साथ तीसरे 75 क्रिएटिव माइंड्स ऑफ टुमॉरो का शुभारम्भ होगा। "क्रिएटिव माइंड्स ऑफ टुमॉरो" युवा फिल्मकारों के लिए भविष्य में अग्रणी फिल्मकार और कलाकार के रूप में अपने प्रदर्शन संवारने का एक मंच है।

The #IFFI54 took off with a great start today in Goa. It is the vision of PM Narendra Modi to make India the content hub of the globe and the increased participation of global films. Film artists has again shown that the strength of IFFI is growing every year. The first day was an action packed as guests attended openings of the film Baazar, the VFX and Tech Pavilion which is a first time attraction this year and strengthens India's position as a hub of VFX.

The grand Opening Ceremony, graced by many stalwarts of the global film Industry, saw Cinephiles from all over India enjoying an electrifying evening of magnificent performances and felicitation of actors. This is indeed a start to yet another great edition of IFFI, a festival that is global in essence, local at heart and celebrates the Joy of Cinema with panache.
